      Well fossils are prehistoric rocks actually.

      A fossil is part of a creature. Usually a remnant of the hard parts because the soft parts do not usually survive.

      A rock is made up of minerals, non-living elements that are eroded and recombined to make different kinds of rocks.

      Some rocks contain no-fossils (igneous rocks), and some rocks contain more fossils than others e.g. limestones.

      I dont know much about fossils apart from that they are really cool to go hunting for – they are only found in certain types of rocks though – I think sedimentary rocks are good to go fossil hunting in!
