      Science is the name given to the activity of understanding more about things using a structured repeatable system of examination.

      This will give us data.

      What that data means depends on how much you know about the subject (Ontology), the more you know, the more you can be sure your interpretation of results is correct as it fits together like a jigsaw.

      However, we are all human, and we all view things a bit differently, have different levels of knowledge so a single fact, might mean something different to someone depending on how they think, even if they are hungry. This personal view of data is called Epistemology.

      Science is the exploration of things to understand things better, done in a planned, structured way. There are so many different types of science and research and ways of going about it, that this is a very big question! But science, to me, is everything.
