Our brains use cells to communicate. Our brains contain between 80-100 billion cells, and they talk to each other by using electricity. If we didn’t have any cells in our brains, we wouldn’t have a brain and so we wouldn’t be able to survive.
Lots of cells in our body use electricity to communicate, but they do so very precisely. Our muscles (like those in our arms and legs, but also our heart) use electricity as do cells in our brains. When someone is electricuted, they mess up these precise signals causing muscles and brain cells to stop working normally
