I was quite young when I took a liking to science. My parents bought me some popup books on how the human body worked and I think that was when I first found it interesting. When I was younger, there was a scientist on TV called Robert Winston (a bit like the Brian Cox of his day) who presented a lot of programmes about how the body worked, and I really enjoyed these. Plus I wasn’t very good at other subjects such as English or art
