Question: How does a volcano errupt?

Two main ways, some eruptions are explosive, caused by rapidly rising gas in the throat of the volcano (think of shaking a bottle of cola). Other eruptions are caused when the earths crust is thin and weak and it splits, the lave just oozes out often slower than walking pace.
